Meet Dr. Ayanna Lowry, DNP, MSN, RN

Dr. Ayanna Lowry, a nurse, consultant, researcher, and educator specializing in clinical utilization management and health policy compliance, has excelled in her industry for over eight years. She is the Director of Medicare and Medicaid Compliance for ALPS Services, Inc. in Woodlawn, Ohio. Within this role, Dr. Lowry collaborates with federal and state agencies to maintain the integrity of both Medicare and Medicaid programs by spearheading the development and implementation of quality improvement measures. In addition, she is an expert in data analytics related to work processes, performance, and outcome goals. Bolstered by a rich background in health care, she previously served as a lead medical review analyst for the Medicare and Medicaid Program Integrity programs. Although imbued with several achievements, Dr. Ayanna Lowry is particularly proud of her research surrounding the intersectionality of social determinants of health and its role in Medicare fraud, waste, and abuse. She is expanding the above research to provide effective clinical and fiscal methodologies to combat implicit bias and its effect on access to quality healthcare.

She proudly extends her leadership acuity to her community and is passionate about charitable endeavors benefiting vulnerable populations. She serves on the Partnership for Quality Measurement’s (PQM) Endorsement and Maintenance Committee. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Northern Kentucky University, her Master of Nursing from Mount St. Joseph University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cincinnati.
